Bubbles was the first of Brightleaf breeding registered and shown in 1955 she won at her first show at Newcastle Best Baby Puppy in show under Mr Len de Groen. At her second show she won first in the Puppy class and second in Junior class at Sydney Royal Easter Show. All solid colour cockers bred at Brightleaf Kennels trace back to her.

Monty was bred by Brightleaf Kennels. And was Owned and Exhibited By M and J Hickie Of Newcastle N.S.W. He was Best In Group Gundog and Best Opposite Sex In Show at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 1962. He was sired by a young Western Australian dog which went missing and was never found, Bonanza was his only prodgeny.
